Who We Are

We are a community of people who love and worship God. We live in fellowship and we are called to share the good news of salvation which can only be found in life with the Lord JESUS CHRIST. While serving the Lord’s kingdom in the present we look forward to the return of the Lord Jesus, bringing justice to all and the glorious, perfect kingdom of God.

GOD’S LOVE FOR US

The Father loves us—by grace—with the same love He has for the Son. This is the best news we could ever hear. The Father cannot stop loving the Son, He cannot stop loving us either. We persevere and have assurance because God loves us with an everlasting love. Let us be grateful for this love and call others to trust in Christ that they would know this love as well.

John Calvin reminds us that we enjoy this love not because we are inherently lovable but because we are united to Christ. Because we are in Christ by faith, we are God’s beloved children. God loves us with an enduring, undefeatable love because of Jesus.
Calvin writes, “That love which the heavenly Father bears towards the Head is extended to all the members, so that he loves none but in Christ.”

1 John 3: – 1 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

OUR LOVE FOR GOD

This is the greatest journey that anyone can embark on
TO LOVE GOD – especially as he as instructed us to.

There needs to be an authentic love for God that starts with God-oriented affections, desires, and thoughts, that permeates our speaking and behavior, and then influences the way we spend our money and how we dress, and drive, and our forms of entertainment. Whether we’re eating or singing, jogging or blogging, texting or drawing, love for Yahweh — the one true triune God — is to be in action and seen.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Cor 10:31

Our prayer is that we will be authentic in every area of our lives. We cannot be one person at church and another person at “life”

HEEDING GOD’S CALL

We have all sinned and deserve God’s judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, “Jesus is Lord,” you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.

OUR LOVE FOR PEOPLE

Christian Love – Christ’s Commandment to LOVE is at the heart of our response to each other!
Jesus said, “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35).
John, wrote, “We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death” (1 John 3:14).

At LWM we strive to Love one another as God has instructed us to do.
